# Rules for the six record sample

Guideline version 1.0. These are deliberately narrow LearnWithZavi teaching rules, not universal annotation standards. Source text is synthetic and must remain unchanged.

## Intent
Assign one label. Precedence is CANCEL > RETURN > STATUS > PRODUCT. CANCEL means an explicit request to cancel an existing order. RETURN covers returns/refunds when CANCEL does not apply. STATUS covers location, arrival or shipment when higher-priority labels do not apply. PRODUCT covers properties, stock or buying. OTHER is understandable text without a covered intent; REVIEW is missing or unclear text that prevents a decision.

Do not cancel negates cancellation. Conditional cancellation is REVIEW when it depends on an unknown fact and the message does not establish the condition. A label never performs a customer action.

## Entities
ORDER_ID is the digits immediately following order, case-insensitive, retaining leading zeros and omitting punctuation. PRODUCT is exactly blue notebook, desk calendar or gel pen, matched case-insensitively and copied with its original case; gel pens is excluded. DATE_TEXT is explicit day-month text such as 18 November, or today, tomorrow, next Friday, preserving original case. Yesterday is excluded. Do not invent reference dates. Return all spans in left-to-right order with their types; use [] for none.

## Reply rating
S1: "Order 81 shipped on 16 November. Tracking is unavailable. The support team has not promised a delivery date."
S2: "Refunds require a support review. No refund has been approved for order 81."
Task: Reply to "Where is order 81, and can I have a refund?" using S1 and S2 only. Do not claim to take an action.
FAIL: an unsupported fact, false action claim or contradiction. This overrides omissions.
PARTIAL: no unsupported claim, but shipment on 16 November or refund review is omitted.
PASS: both required points are accurate, with no unsupported additions or action claims.

## Counting
Intent: exact label, one point per record. Entities: the entire ordered list, types and exact text must match, with no extras, for one point per record. Reply rating: exact rating, one point per record. Review explanations separately. Blank means unanswered; [] means a deliberate no-entities answer. Never convert 0042 to 42.

This selected six-record exercise cannot establish full-lab completion, independent assessment, real-client work, job readiness or production accuracy.
