micro1 Referral Program: How Company Data Referrals Pay (2026)

A beginner-friendly guide to the micro1 referral program, including Enterprise and Defunct tiers, consent, approval, payout rules and what makes a company a fit.

Published · The LearnWithZavi Team · Updated

The short answer

The micro1 referral program pays for qualifying company introductions, not casual sign-ups. The published Enterprise tier lists up to $50,000 for a qualifying deal up to $700,000, while the Defunct Data Partnership tier lists up to $75,000 for a qualifying deal up to $1 million. Larger deals use a 7.5% figure above the relevant threshold. Payment happens only after micro1 approves the referral milestone. This is a company data partnership opportunity, not an AI training job.

Start with the important distinction

There are several things people call an AI referral programme. One is a job referral: you send a person towards a role. Another is an affiliate programme: you recommend software and receive a commission when someone buys. The micro1 Company Referral Program described here is different. You introduce a company that may have valuable operational data and may be a fit for a data partnership with micro1.

That distinction changes who you should talk to, what you should say, and what counts as success. You are not promising a candidate a job. You are not selling an AI course. You are not asking a company to hand over private files in a message. You are making a permission-based introduction so the company can decide whether it wants to apply and speak with micro1.

This guide is written for beginners who want an AI-adjacent way to earn from useful introductions. It explains the public programme language in plain English. The official programme and referral terms control the relationship, so read those pages before you rely on any number or submit a referral.

What the company referral programme is for

Micro1 describes a data partnership programme for companies with operational knowledge that could help train or evaluate AI systems. Examples on the company pages include standard operating procedures, internal documentation, knowledge bases, CRM metadata, project histories, quality assurance processes and operational communications.

The company does not simply click a link and trigger a payout. The public process has several stages:

  1. You register as a referral partner and obtain a unique company referral link.
  2. You introduce a company that may fit the programme.
  3. An authorised company contact applies through your link.
  4. Micro1 evaluates the opportunity and decides whether it is a fit.
  5. The company completes the relevant onboarding and partnership process.
  6. The programme milestone is reached and the referral payout is approved.

The link matters because attribution is part of the programme. If a company applies independently before using your link, the referral may not be attributed to you. If the company has already entered the platform through another route, you should not claim it as yours or try to force a duplicate application.

The published payout tiers

The words “up to” matter. The figures below are published programme figures for eligible, approved referrals. They are not a promise that every company earns the headline amount, and they are not a prediction of how quickly a payout will happen.

Partnership tierPublished figureWhat it means in plain language
Enterprise Data Partnership$50,000 for deals up to $700,000, or 7.5% above $700,000A qualifying operating company may fit this route if its data and partnership value meet the programme requirements.
Defunct Data Partnership$75,000 for deals up to $1 million, or 7.5% above $1 millionA separate route for a company that is no longer operating, with the required historical workforce and operational records.
Other qualifying partnerships7.5% of final licensing deal valueThe official programme may use a percentage where the partnership does not fall into a named flat-reward tier.

The Enterprise page describes a company requirement of at least 30 employees, primarily English operational data, and a current focus on the United States followed by other Western markets. The Defunct opportunity describes a company with at least 50 peak employees, substantial Microsoft Teams or Slack data, English records and a company that is no longer operating. Treat these as fit signals, not a shortcut around micro1's evaluation.

Do not mix these figures with other micro1 programmes or other companies. In particular, this page is not quoting a Mercor reward, an annotator reward or a micro1 candidate referral. The money here relates to company data partnership referrals only.

What “approved payout” means

An approved payout is not the same thing as a click, a form submission or an enthusiastic reply. It means micro1 has accepted the referral under the applicable terms and the company has reached the milestone required for that partnership type.

Micro1's public FAQ describes different triggers for different partnership models. For Workflow partnerships, the referred company must successfully complete onboarding and reach the minimum revenue threshold required for payout eligibility. For Corpus partnerships, the company's data must be accepted by micro1. The exact status should be tracked in your referral account, not guessed from a conversation or a marketing screenshot.

Here is a useful status ladder:

  • Link click: someone visited your page. No payout.
  • Application submitted: a company contact applied through your link. No payout yet.
  • Under review: micro1 is evaluating the company and opportunity. No payout yet.
  • Accepted or onboarded: the company passed a stage, but the final payout milestone may still be outstanding.
  • Approved payout: micro1 has confirmed the applicable payout is payable under the programme.
  • Paid: the reward has been processed to the account or payment method allowed by the programme.

If you are explaining this to a company contact, say “micro1 will assess whether your company is a fit” rather than “this will definitely pay.” Honest language protects the relationship and keeps your referral within the spirit of the programme.

Who should you refer?

The best referral is not the largest company you know. It is a company where you can identify a real person, explain why the opportunity may be relevant, and ask permission before sharing a link.

LearnWithZavi is not Micro1, its agent, recruiter, representative, partner or authorised spokesperson. We cannot approve a company, change attribution, set a payout or speak for Micro1. The sponsored link is shared for referral attribution only.

Use this checklist:

  • The company has or had a meaningful operating history, not just a social profile.
  • It has useful internal documentation, SOPs, knowledge bases, workflows or business records.
  • The data is primarily in English, if the current programme requirements call for English.
  • You can identify an authorised founder, executive, data owner or operations contact.
  • The contact understands that micro1 will evaluate the company and may decline it.
  • The company has not already applied through someone else or directly.
  • I do not own, control, work for or have a beneficial interest in the company, unless I have disclosed that relationship to Micro1 in writing first.
  • You can make a warm introduction without exposing confidential documents.

For the Enterprise route, think about mature businesses with 30 or more employees and repeatable operations. Examples might include a BPO, recruiting firm, consultancy, professional services business, logistics company, finance operation or healthcare administration group. The business does not need to be an “AI company.” Its value may be in the way it records and runs work.

For the Defunct route, think about companies that have shut down but left behind valuable operational knowledge. The public opportunity calls out 50 or more peak employees and substantial Teams or Slack data. The company must no longer be operating. Do not contact former employees or data holders casually about private records. Start with an authorised person who can decide whether an introduction is appropriate.

Consent and privacy rules

Consent is not a legal decoration. It is the difference between a useful introduction and an unwanted disclosure.

Before referring a company:

  1. Ask the contact whether they are open to hearing about a micro1 data partnership.
  2. Explain what you are sharing and why you think the company may fit.
  3. Tell them that micro1 will evaluate the opportunity and that a payout is not guaranteed.
  4. Ask them to apply through your link or give you permission to make an email introduction.
  5. Keep their private records, customer data, employee information and credentials out of your message.

Never scrape a directory, send a bulk email blast, create a referral in a company's name without permission, or upload a confidential document to prove that a company has data. You need enough context for a responsible introduction, not possession of the company's files.

Do not use the referral link to refer yourself or a company you own, control, work for or are otherwise financially connected to unless you have first disclosed that relationship to Micro1 in writing. If you are unsure whether a relationship is relevant, disclose it before submitting anything.

Use a short message like this:

Permission-first introduction

Hi [name]. I am sharing this because [company] has [plain description of its operational history or documentation].

micro1 is accepting company introductions for a data partnership programme. They assess each company separately, so I cannot promise acceptance or a payout. Would you like me to send you the official programme page? If yes, you can choose whether to apply through my referral link.

If the answer is no, stop. A no is not a lead to work around.

What not to promise

Do not say that micro1 will buy every company's data. Do not say that the company will be selected. Do not say that the referral is worth $50,000 or $75,000 as if that amount is automatic. Do not say that a company can get paid without review, onboarding or an approved milestone.

Do not describe this as a job for data annotators or a guaranteed AI training role. A company data partnership is a different opportunity. It concerns an organisation's operational knowledge and a commercial assessment. If someone wants an individual AI training job, send them to a genuine job page instead of this guide.

Do not use the phrase “easy money.” A good introduction requires trust, context and follow-up. Most people you contact will not be a fit, may already know about micro1, or may decide not to proceed.

A simple beginner workflow

You can test the programme without turning it into a full-time project.

Step one: make a fit list. Write down ten companies or former companies where you have a legitimate relationship. Do not start with scraped names.

Step two: note the reason. For each company, write one sentence explaining what operational knowledge it may hold and why the contact might care.

Step three: remove sensitive details. Your note should not contain customer lists, employee names, passwords, contracts or copied internal documents.

Step four: ask permission. Send the permission-first message or make a normal introduction without the link first.

Step five: share the official page. Let the company read micro1's own description and terms. Your role is to connect, not to replace the programme's explanation.

Step six: track attribution. Keep the date, contact, consent and link used in a simple private record. Do not store more personal data than you need.

Step seven: wait for the company. Micro1's evaluation and onboarding process are outside your control. Follow up once if the contact asked you to, then leave the decision with them.

How the referral link works

The CTA on this page is a sponsored referral link to micro1's company registration page. It includes a referral code and campaign labels so the company can be attributed to the referring partner. It is not a hidden redirect, and using it does not change the programme's published requirements.

If you are a company contact, you should read the official terms, decide whether you are authorised to submit information, and use the link only if you want to pursue the conversation. If you are a learner sharing this guide, disclose that the link may benefit the publisher. That is why this page carries a sponsored label.

This is not financial advice and it is not an income guarantee. Payouts depend on micro1's approval, the company's eligibility, the partnership type, attribution and the applicable milestone. Taxes, payment verification and local restrictions may also apply.

A final checklist before you refer

  • Is this a company referral, not an individual job referral?
  • Am I avoiding any claim that I am Micro1 or authorised to speak for Micro1?
  • Do I have a real relationship or a legitimate way to contact the company?
  • Have I asked for consent?
  • Can I explain the opportunity without promising acceptance or money?
  • Does the company appear to fit an Enterprise or Defunct route?
  • Has the company already applied through another link?
  • Have I kept private data out of the referral?
  • Have I read the current official terms?
  • Have I disclosed any ownership, employment or financial relationship to Micro1 in writing before referring it?
  • Will I disclose the sponsored relationship?
  • Am I comfortable being told no?

If you can answer yes to the first nine and accept the last one, you are approaching the programme responsibly. The goal is not to send the most links. It is to make a small number of relevant, consent-based introductions that a company would be glad to receive.

The most useful next step is to read the official micro1 Company Referral Program, then use the sponsored button below only for a company that has agreed to explore the opportunity.

micro1 referral program FAQ

What is the micro1 referral program?
It lets a person introduce a qualifying company to micro1's Company Data Partnership Program. The company must apply through the referral link and pass micro1's evaluation and partnership process before any payout is approved.
How much does micro1 pay for a company referral?
The published Enterprise tier pays $50,000 for deals up to $700,000 or 7.5% of deal value above $700,000. The Defunct Data Partnership tier lists $75,000 for deals up to $1 million or 7.5% above $1 million. These are maximum programme figures, not guaranteed earnings.
When is a micro1 referral payout approved?
Approval happens only after the referred company reaches the applicable programme milestone. Micro1 says Workflow partnerships depend on onboarding and a minimum revenue threshold, while Corpus partnerships depend on the company's data being accepted.
Can I refer a company without its permission?
You should get consent from an appropriate company contact before submitting a referral. Do not upload private data or represent yourself as micro1. A warm introduction is safer and more respectful than submitting a company that has not agreed.
Is this a job referral or a way to refer AI workers?
No. This guide is about introducing companies to micro1's data partnership programme. It is not an AI training job, candidate placement promise or annotation opportunity.
