Pakistan has two free, government-run AI courses with certificates: DigiSkills.pk's 12 week Artificial Intelligence using Python, taught in Urdu and English, and NAVTTC's classroom-based Skills of Tomorrow programme, which includes AI for Everyone. The catch is timing: both run in intakes, and neither was taking new learners when we checked. While you wait, the free LearnWithZavi courses below need no signup and no intake, and give a free certificate for each course you finish.

DigiSkills.pk: Artificial Intelligence using Python

Ministry of IT and Telecom, funded through Ignite and delivered by Virtual University of Pakistan

  • Free of cost, and the course page says everyone can join. There is no minimum education requirement, though you need to read and understand English.
  • 12 weeks, with about 24 hours of video in Urdu and English, online through the DigiSkills learning system or its Android app.
  • Covers Python, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision and building an LLM chatbot, so it is a technical course.
  • Learners who meet the completion criteria get an e-certificate issued by Virtual University of Pakistan.

Worth knowing: It runs in batches. The current batch started on 3 August 2026, and DigiSkills says enrolment for the next batch opens in November 2026, with the exact date to be announced. Seats are first come, first served, and the last batch filled early.

NAVTTC Skills of Tomorrow: AI for Everyone

National Vocational and Technical Training Commission, under the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training

  • 100% free training. AI for Everyone runs for 3 months in a classroom or lab and is described as 80% practical.
  • Covers AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, prompt engineering, automation and building a freelancing portfolio.
  • For Pakistani citizens aged 18 to 35 with at least Matric and a valid CNIC, who can train full time. Selection includes an aptitude test.
  • The course page lists the certification as NVQF certified.

Worth knowing: The programme page says applications closed on 15 July 2026 and the next intake will be announced there. It is full time and in person.

How they fit together: If you want to build AI systems, DigiSkills is the free technical route; watch for the November enrolment. If you are 18 to 35 and can train full time, NAVTTC is worth applying to at the next intake.
